I have heard about this book for years as a classic on reading. It kept being put on the back burner. Finally I decided to listen to the book. You can find the book at Amazon and the audiobook at Audible.
As I have been listening I find that there are a lot of implications for preaching and hearing, proclaimers and hearers. The writers make the statement that hearing and reading have similar complications and benefits. I made this note in the book. Does the symptom of lazy hearing in our churches reflect our lazy reading in our educational institutions? I think there might be for one of things Biblical preaching teaches is how to read the Bible.
